GiF The Great

GiF The Great is a native New Yorker, born and raised in the Bronx borough. Like many growing up in the North Bronx, he was influenced early on by both hip hop and reggae music. As a teen, he would attend parties and rap battles and would soon challenge himself to pen better verses than those he would hear in his travels. This grew into a passion and GiF would soon form a group along with his high school friends and older cousin known as Par-City. The group would focus on turning dope lyrics into good music, with GiF not only penning great 16s but also composing many of the catchy hooks that would go on to find favor amongst the harsh NY audience. Looking to branch out on his own, GiF hopes to carry the torch for the Bronx
blending lyricism with undeniably infectious hooks and production. GiF truly wants to live up to his surname “The Great.”
